Join us Sunday nights at 5:15 at the Interfaith Center for a simple Eucharist service followed by a joint dinner with other campus ministries. There's also free lunch at the Interfaith Center every Wednesday from 11:30 until we run out! Noonday prayer happens Wednesdays at 12:15ish and lasts about 7 minutes. Lots of other good stuff happens so email us or join our facebook group for more info. You can friend the chaplain (Amy Real Coultas) here.--we look forward to getting to know you!

Peer Ministry Intro @ the UofL Interfaith Center

This series is 1/3 of the full Peer Ministry Certification Program. The sessions are each Sunday from 6:45-8:30:

Week 1 (3/1): Informational Session
Wondering what this would be like? Join us for a introductory session!

Week 2 (3/8): Becoming a Peer Minister
Using the parable of the good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37), we’ll learn about how peer ministers are people who choose to welcome their neighbor instead of ignoring them.

(3/15): (We’re off for the first Sunday of Spring Break!)

Week 3 (3/22): Saying Hello
Ever feel awkward talking to new people? Using John 1:35-39, we’ll learn skills about how to begin conversations.

Week 4 (3/29): Welcoming a Stranger
This session will help us learn ways of creating a welcoming atmosphere when new people join a group.

Week 5 ( 4/5): I’m Glad You Asked
The story of the blind beggar (Luke 18:35-43) will lead us to use questions to gain deeper insight and wisdom.

(4/12): (We’re off for the Easter Holiday!)

Week 6 (4/19): Quest to Discover
Our faith is passed on through personal and trusted relationships. We’ll use the road to Emmaus story (Luke 24:13-35) to explore models for relational ministry.

To be a peer minister, you should be:
* a current student between the ages of 18-23
* active in a campus ministry
* a good listener
* trustworthy
* sensitive to others
* trying to make healthy and purposeful decisions
* caring

Helping Hannah Ministries

We have partnered with Hannah Ministries to serve the children of Byumba, Rwanda. This Millenium Development Goals project seeks to provide financial assistance so that children, often HIV+ orphans, can be fed, clothed, educated, and can receive the medicines they so desperately need. Winter Watch Dec 29-30

Join us for this annual weekend of fun and fellowship with other college-age Episcopalians. We'll start around 3 on Friday and end after Lunch on Saturday. REGISTRATION AND $$ IS DUE WED, DECEMBER 20TH. You can fax it, mail it, or email it. If you need scholarship assistance (the cost is $40) please the diocese know.

Hi, I'm the the Episcopal Campus Minister at the University of Louisville. I'm also the Vicar of St. James' Episcopal Church in Shelbyville. I'm a Louisville native and I have a B.F.A. in studio art from UofL. My M.Div. is from the General Theological Seminary in Manhattan. I live in Shelbyville with my handsome husband and my hilarious Boston Terrier.

I'm in my office in the Interfaith Center every Thursday, come visit!
